We received an overwhelming response from teachers at Educating for Careers Conference for our one of a kind Peer-to-Peer curriculum.
To our teachers:
NineZero wants to welcome and invite your students to become Prevention Partners in spreading the word “NineZero.” NineZero stands for “Nine months, Zero alcohol!”
Why Implement NineZero in your classroom and at your school:
NineZero has a one of a kind, easy to use, Peer-to-Peer curriculum, FASTRAC, which accompanies standards in health, biology, and/or anatomy classes.
It is one presentation, one class time, per section, per semester.
Our Peer-to-Peers have stated that their Public Speaking increased 88%; their knowledge about FASD increased 98%; and the class reaction from their presentation was 85% positive.
Through students, they will Educate and Prevent Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders.
Drinking alcohol during pregnancy is a serious health problem in every community. It is the number one cause of FASD and mental retardation in the United States.
The goal is three fold:
To provide an effective and concise presentation about FASD to students by students.
To train students to become peer educators and gain leadership and public speaking skills.
Research shows that peer-to-peer education on the topics of sex and alcohol is one of the most effective communicators and behavioral transformations for students.
Help create youth leaders and prevent FASD that is an epidemic in our school system, social services, and criminal justice system.
Let the NineZero Team know how we can help get the NineZero Project’s FASTRAC at your location, for this next school year.
Thank you and have a great day,
The NineZero Team
